Looting in Lidl?(mod warning in op-read it)

Seems to be a few videos doing the rounds firstly of people(including those with children) grabbing whatever they can from Lidl and it's like a family day out, what chance do these kids stand :mad:

Now it appears someone has got hold of a JCB and is just destroying Lidl quite simply because they can. If the Americans did it we'd comment on how they're such a pack of idiots yet we're clearly a nation with a lot of gob****es too.

I know they're a multi million pound company but it's no excuse and i hope every single one of the people involved are caught and charged :mad:

Mod- All this racist crap stops here. We have been pretty damn lenient so far but the gloves are off now. Any more reference to the race of the people involved or general racist sh!te will be crushed and bans will be handed out.

Just watched some of the videos and some of these muppets are showing their faces in videos while holding bags of stuff they robbed from Lidl. That's the level of intelligence we're dealing with.

The thing that makes me so angry is that the gardai, the army and the various emergency services had far more important stuff to do last night but got caught up dealing with these feral scumbags.

The thing about areas like this is the amount of money pumped into them. Community centres,playgrounds etc. Yet all we hear is "we've nothing".
You don't see stuff like this in private estates and this carry on doesn't take place as people are too busy working to pay for the roof over their heads.
As an example,when the biggest council estate was built in my town,they put in a playground as soon as the houses were full. It lasted 3 nights before it was wrecked and the basketball court used as an area to burn cars on.

Funny thing is these judges think they are giving people from disadvantaged areas a chance and being soft on them will hopefully bring them around. Judges need to start thinking about the vast majority of people in tallaght who are decent law abiding citizens being terrorised and let down by these scum.

Your not doing people from tallaght any favours by giving these young pricks a twentieth or thirtieth chance, your ruining the community for decent people. But judges dont give a **** because judges dont live in tallaght

I think we need to seriously look at segregation of the trouble makers. Move out the decent people and move in the rest of the scum. Once there is a significant security presence on the borders of these areas to keep the law abiding people safe the scum can do whatever they want to one another. Too much time worrying about the welfare of criminals in this country.

Rubbish. Judges are bound by the law and the sentencing guidelines. Campaign for changes and provide the Judges the ability/power to do proper sentencing. While you're at it, reform the prison system so that its somewhere that criminals don't want to go (somehow without messing with their "rights").

TBH I think it would be better for Tallaght people to turn on these people, and kick the **** out of them until they stop behaving the way they do. The law (and our society) is pretty much incapable of punishing or reforming them.

It was probably a reaction to seeing the videos. If there were no videos and people were just reading news reports, I think there would have been fewer calls for shoot to kill. I'm glad it didn't happen anyway, just for the sake of the security personnel who would have to do the shooting, and to avoid future claims for compensation from the families of the deceased.

Now that some of them are in custody, the could be executed. But as was shown in 1916, the mood of the populace can change in the cold light of day, and this would probably not be acceptable to the vast majority.

Exactly ., The vast majority of people in Tallaght are shocked to the core about this feral lawlessness and they were frightened and scared and shocked .This is a huge wake up call for the powers that be to be aware of lawlessness and its effect on decent people .Texts and Whatsapps were flying around Tallaght last night from people frightened and scared and horrified at this event unfolding and seemed like it was out of control .Looting is a breakdown of society and is much more frightening than a robbery because it effects us all .

Knowing the area well, it's a grave disservice to say that everybody in the area is like that.

Most people are fine and embarrassed by/despise those scummers too but are understandably afraid.

It's fine and well to threaten violence and informing from a middle-class armchair but would any of you have went out to- or informed on - that gang, living in that area with your kids in the house?

Even if you brought the community vigilantes back (which to be honest, has big merit in areas like that with a serious policing vacuum) like the 80s, they're the ones that have more to lose and would end up in trouble, possibly exposed online, maybe sacked from work, and ironically, pilloried by the online liberal commentariat that don't have to live there.

There are plenty of people in these areas (my own included) that turn blind eyes to little Johnny because he's Mary's young lad and "he's a good lad really".

When the video of the dumper truck was whizzing around the area there were some people laughing at it. If that was nipped in the bud early the Lidl destruction would have ended fast. We'll see over the coming months if the locals are willing to go to the Garda and identify each and everyone of them. Or are they Going to keep quiet because Dwayne is Patser's nephew and "he's a good lad really"
