Thought I'd update the OP with links and stuff for anyone who stumbles across this.

The former Off the Ball hosts have partnered with The Irish Times to do a series of weekly podcasts. They go online each Tuesday and cover a variety of sports, with a number of contributors including Sid Lowe, Richie Sadlier, Gerry Thornley and Shane Horgan.

I listened to the OTB show and it seemed like he was announcing(publicly) it on the show. Of course he would have told friends & family and maybe the SC's in advance.
Still, I really like Andy, it would be hard not to.

I was delighted that they had Andy Lee on. I was afraid that with him joining OTB it would have ruled him out. Haven't listed yet, but hopefully he can make occasional appearances in the future too...

Unsubbed for a month. Going to see if i miss it, and either resub or leave it.

My podcast playlist is too long - im deleting half the episodes, so its a bit of a waste - want to see if i can get my fix from Totally Football, maybe give FW another shot, as well as a couple of other non-football pods i listen to.

Will be keeping an eye here to see if anything memorable happens while im outta the loop!

I really just cannot bear US Murph anymore, I find myself just getting angrier and angrier with each word he says. Seems like he prefaces every comment with a Trump comment or analogy or something which is really getting tired a this point

I still enjoy US Murph. In general when he's on he's talking about a sport I don't follow (apart from the NFL) yet he always seems to do so in an entertaining fashion. Apart from the time they covered baseball. That was awful.

I'd take him over lots of the football contributors any day. Some of those guys just sound so depressing all the time and are just so negative about all the aspects of football. Ken is even guilty of it at times in my opinion, always dwelling on the negatives, ie the non stop Neymar and Mourinho coverage

Dead right. US Murph talks about sport as if he likes it. I don't know what the story is with so many contributors to so many podcasts just sneering their way through it. It's getting very tiresome.
