Rob2D wrote: » No its not. You just don't know how to build a set yet. The game isn't ever going to hand you some magical suit of armor. I'd wager I could probably go around to all the vendors and buy a bunch of stuff/caches I could make decent sets out of. And what good is that to him? Why play all day just to get a handful of useless exotics and a few classifieds he won't have a match for? And that's assuming a run good enough for tier 3 caches every time. Best thing he can do is learn the game. Come up with a couple good achievable sets and aim for them. Do Last Stand/Underground. At beginner level the ranks will come quick and flood you with caches. Do challenging missions and spend credits/phoenix at vendors to attain the rest. Play smart, not all day.
gimli2112 wrote: » Wonder if the issue with the incursions is you need to run the normal one first? Once you do it on normal it unlocks heroic and this is where everyone will be playing, as it's heroic that drops the exotic cache. There might just be very few people playing on normal?

Rob2D wrote: » OK so you seem to like Nomad, that's good. Get rid of Lonestar it's no use to you. And put away the shield. Shield is such a noob magnet. People who use it never learn to play and survive the game proper. All it's good for is blocking hallways and lines of sight so I start shouting at you. New solo build: Barrett's chest (if you have it) / Vigorous Specialised Bag 4 remaining Nomad Roll health on kill on everything. It should all be firearms and health major. Firearms in the front for those nice weapons talents. Likewise firearms and health mods. Electronics does not exist, forget about it. Roll all the small stuff as you see fit. Talents should be the health pack defense one, the one that pulses on a headshot, one is none and tactical advance. Run with overdose and med station. Pulse if you like to be really aware. Use a bolt action and MDR/a good AR you are comfortable with up close. Congratulations, you can now solo the entire dark zone/any mission PvE with care. For a group: Reclaimer or Sentry The idea here is to keep safe and be of some use to people. For the reclaimer it's the same as above. Just go for electronics and health since you won't be fighting. Even it out or go more electronics I leave it up to you. Skills are defrib and box obviously. Talents are obviously the med ones and maybe on the move. Same layout again plus Sentry is the easiest. Just put every god damn thing you have in firearms and damage. You want 9-10K firearms. Use a bolt action and MDR and hit like a truck. Mark heads like crazy. Use defrib to pick others up (you should have a good view of the battlefield from behind them) and revive box to drop before you go down so you can pick yourself. A sentry should be self-sufficient so mind yourself. Talents same as nomad.

Also, what should I expect as far as the GE goes? Is it a specific game mode for the weekend or what? Praying for a snow day here to make sure I get to 30 in time for weekend
gimli2112 wrote: » I don't know if you have to be level 30. I have run challenging missions with players below 30 but you may need to be friends with someone to bring you in. It looks like the GE is going ahead. Should be more news in State of the Game on Thursday. I'd get to 30 just to be sure. Generally the best farming runs are Clear Sky Heroic (with a squad) or Lexington Challenging (with anything with a brain and even this is optional). There will be specific missions that offer bonus GE credits but you'll still find Clear Sky and Lex will be the most economical in terms of time. It's just a grind frenzy for GE credits to buy caches. I'm unsure if the cache changes will be implemented, probably not, in which case you should only buy the superior caches for 1500 and not the bog standard ones.
