While living here in Ireland I watch all crash compilations from Poland, and you can see some crazy stuff there (not as crazy as form Russia but still).
One could think that Polish roads must be lethal and very dangerous.

However I lived there in Poland for 25 years up to around 2007, and driven there for everyday for 8 years, and never really seen or experienced any of the mad stuff you see on those dashcam compilations.
I still go there regularly and spend there good few weeks every year, and all traffic seem going normal way.

Possibly it's exactly same scenario with Dutch dashcam videos.
You got different impression of road safety/behaviour when you lived there, and you get different one when watching a set of road accident videos from there in a compilation.

I can even nearly bet, each one of us here could go to Russia, drive for a month all across the country, and don't experience a single incident which all of us watch on Russian compilations.
