WHICH POWER FLUSHING MACHINE ??

Hey lads

Been reading back through old threads about power flushing / machines / results etc....

Im currently looking to buy one , ive seen fernox and kamco mentioned the most and look to be the best ?!
Looking for some input on which you reckon i should go for ?

Might also get the mag at same time so some info on one of these also would be good.

All info , good or bad much appreciated !!

Getting the magnet is a must in my opinion.
As for the machine, you can really go wrong with either one. I picked the kamco cf90 as it has higher pumping rates to fernox. It claims 150l/pm to fernox 85 I think. How true that is, I'm not sure. Word on the street is fernox has a new machine coming out.

Any idea of costs for either landed in ireland ?

Ya so i defo will add a magnet to the setup , in your opinion which one should i go for the fernox or similar - 11,000 gauss or the magnaclense double filter as from what i can see they are both fairly similar in price !?

I have both sets of magnets and on bigger systems I use them in series. But for smaller systems I use the kamco magnet which is the same as the fernox magnet. I like this because it has a bypass and the magnet can be cleaned and the machine stays in use.
Magnets are around 500 a piece. I think my machine was around 1500 delivered but honestly can't remember.

Cool i think ill see what kind of price i can get on the fernox power flusher and the magnet along with it , might be able to get a good deal that way !! Hopefully !! there expensive piece of kit ..

I use the fernox machine in conjunction with the magnacleanse it cuts the flush time down and you can see what your getting out

I bought one of these and it's grand job. Has a small magnetic filter on it too. And I liked to give Charlie the business too.

Didn't know that either.. he reckons the anton machine can do 150l/min too.

Just wondering how you fared out here as I'm in the market now myself for a power flushing machine and was looking at the Fernox as well.

The job had the Anton model albeit rebranded, theirs was from Excel in D15 . Looks more or less identical bar a couple of updates/tweaks. Going by the data badge they seem to all come out of a factory in middle europe. Reports from the lads using it was very hit and miss, would do the basic flush's but anything overly clogged would take an age and sometimes not shift it. Considering 95% of powerflushing cost is your labour/time I would try and get the best you can afford. Four or five jobs should well cover the cost of the high end kit and then your making a profit and if the kit is looked after it will last you years.

I posted back in another thread about this crowd, they sell via the usual suspects in the UK. Cost wise your up around the Kamco but the lads on here in the know thought the spec was quite good. Cannot remember what brand of pump it used as I presume this would be the workhorse of any powerflusher and not all pumps would be equal. One of their models has an option for heating the water along with built in mag filters.

Has anyone come across a very good A-Z tutorial (written or video) of how to correctly powerflush on the net. I know there is no rock science to it but looking for one that goes through from start to finish and shows any curve balls they have found. I know some of the manufactures hold training days in the UK but the downtime travelling and the costs for 2-3days make it a pain.One of the lads are looking to get up to speed and get some hands on experience. IF any of the seasoned PF's on here based around Dublin are willing to let a lad shadow him for day while doing one would they drop me a PM please, would really be appreciated. Free labour for the day and could work out something for the mentoring service;)

I like Cubix also offer free labour for a day or two with any lads in Cork doing some power flushing.

Magna cleanse is used on the primary flush.
Dumping is dumping. The magnet doesn’t play a part really

I taught you flushed the whole system with magnet attached thenflush out cleaner and refill . As in no need to dump the water as magnet catches everything in first flush

Yes, flushing out the cleaner and replacing the dirty water with clean water is dumping.
