With conlon opperating in the full forward possition Reidy is having an excellent league and had another fine outing again today while shane O'Donnell has nominated himself with a goal of the year effort and a super finish In the first half we had 9 different scorers which was a descent spread but only 5 points in the entire second half was not good enough We were much the better team but Kilkenny are going in the right direction some good young lads coming through especially the likes of young Murphy , they will never go away for as long as cody has them and can be happy with there second half performance

Consider the way o donnell is held and compare that to the frees McGrath gave yesterday re playing the ball in direct that's all well and good but the three in the full forward line didn't win a lot of good ball hit in to them

It was just a push on the Tipp maor foirne (I think - sorry about the poor Irish) no more after the ball went out of play for a Clare lineball. Referees I know have it tough. But boy their make themselves vulnerable too with such outrageous and ridiculous decisions. What was the story with one man needing medical treatment during the 2nd half? Why was the match not stopped. Clare were heroic and brave. That is all you could ask from a team regardless of performance. Shooting needs to improve though. But the headlines will go to such an incompetent ref. That is a real downer of what was an entertaining match without the real quality of course.
