You haven't seen how much of a joke is made of an abortion over there or how a group of girls can go together, have a laugh and a joke beforehand before going through with the procedure. A bit of perspective is needed here.

What I saw were single girls and couples crying, holding each other, turned in towards walls to get some privacy. I saw women bent double pale as ghosts leaving holding onto the staff for support. I certainly didn't hear any laughing or joking and I doubt you did either because this is just usual anti choice rubbish.

Of course I also saw people crying while others kept to themselves but there was a group of 3 girls(early 20s) sitting down beside us laughing and joking, it was the girls 3rd abortion which she seemed somewhat proud of.

RocketRaccoon wrote: » I didn't make it out to be anything. I stated the facts of what I saw when I was there. A girl in her early 20s declaring, somewhat proudly, that it was her 3rd time at this clinic while laughing with her friends. This wasn't nervous laughter or anything along those lines, this was a woman taking the easy way out because she had gotten pregnant.

However if abortion is legal and the man doesn't want a child he should have the right to request an abortion. If the woman disagrees and the father doesn't want anything more to do with the wife and child there should be some way for them to part ways without 18 years of child support payments. I dont agree that the guy should be able to walk away scot free but if the woman decides to go ahead with an unwanted pregnancy that she cant afford then the man should at least get some sort of discount on the maintenance. Deciding to have a child is a very financial decision and basically forcing it upon someone is not great. I dont think there is any scenario for both parties to walk away happy.

You're very right in that it's not fair and far from an ideal situation (although I suspect this doesn't happen to often). But we're really kind of limited in what we can do by the fact it's women and women only that can carry babies and give birth to them.
