The fact that theres not even a thread yet says it all really, what is going on with ETH? Its completely stuck around $300. Are all the ICOs liquidating at this level or something? All the momentum seems to have fallen away. I have about 50% left compared to when I started with it and tempted to dump everything and wait and see what happens with BTC.

Eidoo does I think, MEW is probably your best bet thou, just dont lose your details.

if anything the Korean news has been put to bed with even their regulator coming out saying any ban would be illegal.
It seems that the 'real news' is now out and was they are only clamping down on unidentified traders, and exchanges will now need to KYC

I use the Trust wallet. It supports ERC20 tokens and has a mobile app.

Gdax if you want real-time pricing and none of the Coinbase fees.

Exactly, I was clambering to check coinbase thinking 1k euro had been exceeded again. People quoting dollar prices is getting more annoying by the day.

Stop using euro prices on a public forum then or at least use the bloody symbol.

You are in an extremely small worldwide minority and probably on this forum as well.

The dollar is still the world reserve currency hence why almost all commodities etc are quoted in it and also why all cyrpto-assets are as well.

Go over to the investments forum and start talking about oil prices or Apple shares in euro and you will probably get a bemused reaction.

When is the last time anyone read an article about crypto that quotes prices in Euros?

I assume prices quotes ANYWHERE are in USD. Anything else is definitely the exception to the rule.

If there were any large spreads in crypto prices between USD and EUR those spreads are being arbitraged out of existence within minutes.
You won't magically get more crypto for your Euro than you would in any other situation, this isn't like buying a handbag.

I buy in euro, I sell in euro and my profit is calculated in euro I dont care about USD and only ever look at euro prices not USD ones. It makes no sense for people in Ireland dealing in euro to be constantly talking about USD prices.

Its just easier for everyone to talk in USD i think, its like the global currency

When discussion happens about coins breaking through or dropping under certain amount barriers - it's always in USD. These USD breakpoints are a big factor in potential gains or losses. €817 is not a big watchpoint for Ether but $1,000 is.

It's utterly pointless taking about euros at any point except to count your chips before you've left the table.

Yeh i dont really look on here to much, today is my first day leaving the topic "How crypto is taxed in ireland"
I think a lot of people on here only look at fiat value, when I only look at Btc value, I also believe there is more money to be made in using the btc value instead of fiat

Convert at the very end for your own use. At the moment the EUR/USD rate is 1.22 so easily to calculate manually or in 2 seconds on your phone.

Yes, shares that are listed on euro exchanges. You can actually buy Apple shares in euro the Frankfurt exchange but it doesn't mean you would ever refer to the euro price. The more classic example is oil or even gold. Dollars all the way.

There needs to be a blanket rule put in place that either prices are quoted in the most relevant price, ie USD$, or you simply have to use the appropriate simple because this currency arguement comes up once a week across the froum
