I've been let down by a lot of the exclusives like Uncharted 4 and Last Guardian which I just didn't like. bloodborne is a classic and Yakuza series is great. Outside of Gravity Rush nothing else has excited me but I'm waiting for the new uncharted to bottom out in price. The latest batch of exclusives isn't really interesting me either. Spiderman looks like a bad Batman clone and I don't like Batman, Detroit is David Cage so will be god awful, God of War look interesting but I'll wait for reviews and Days gone looks awful. TLOU2, as long as it isn't another misstep for naughty dog like U4 was then it should be good. I'm hoping for an influx of Japanese exclusives to make the console more interesting but the majority seem to all come to PC these days.

Honestly I don't want to see a PS5 any time soon. I feel the PS4 has been a total disappointment so far and hasn't really hit it's stride. I'm hoping it will recover in the next year or two and turn itself around like the PS3 did because as it stands, I feel the 400 euro I put down on the PS4 wasn't worth it yet and don't really want to put another 400 down on another console until the previous one has shown its worth.

I read somewhere that it will need to be the next gen AMD chip (Ryzen in an APU I thnk) but that may not be affordable for home consoles for a while yet. The next gen will definitely need beefier CPU's. We've seen this generation struggle with frame-rates compared to a PC, and this is mainly tied to low power processors. EDIT: This is probably out of date now but it goes through the options for a possible PS5. No chance we'll be seeing it this year though.http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-could-sony-release-ps5-in-2018-in-theory
