You could end up smack bang in the middle of the circle or on the other side of the island or else somewhere in between. Then there's the luck involved in what loot you come across and then what vehicles you may or may not find. I landed in the power plant last night for a change and ended up having the place to myself. Got fully kitted out with the most amount of gear I've ever had at the start of a round. But the circle ended up at the other side of the island, so I headed for the nearest main road and luckily got my hands on a jeep. Made it over to the circle in no time and decided on where to hit next. Picked out a cluster of houses which were well inside the circle and when I got there all the doors were closed. I had a quick look round and it appeared nobody was there so I opened the door to the first house only to be met square on with a fecking shotgun. I basically delivered all that gear to this guy, free of charge. This game is frustratingly brilliant.

It also affects my party chat where I briefly lose connection to that too. I don't disconnect from xbox live and no other device in the house is having issues so I can't see how it could be my network?!

Ended up going for a crate and coming away with the sniper rifle and suit, pistol to the head of a driver got me an AK47 and a jeep, got near the final circle and stupidly ditched the jeep thinking my camo and rifle would win me the day. Was met with 4 vehicles racing around in an ever decreasing circle until one of them finally accidentally ran over me...In the absence of an RPG, what is the best tactic for dealing with the circling vehicles at the end, particularly when you're on foot?

They've already reduced vehicle health, so I'm sure that they'll come up with a more permanent solution eventually. Stay close to the forcefield, and try to get a driver to miss you and drive into the blue, matador style? You have to shout Ols they drive past though.
