Yep. They love virtue signaling. They love crying that we should let them in, but have no idea where they're going to stay or who going to provide for them. Throwing them on the dole and straining already strained public services is not compassionate for anyone. I always said the Left love to look compassionate, but they're not keen on actually keen on being compassionate.

Most west europeans do accept people of different race as their own nationality though? I think we are more advanced and liberal societies than nigeria or saudi arabia. The fact that we accept people of different races and ethnicities as our own is one of the better characteristics of european society, not something that should be changed
Brush what under the carpet anyway? You seriously think people of different race can't be considered irish? I think you'll find people with that view are a small minority in ireland, its nowhere near as common opinion as you seem to be making out in the 'real world'

So why can't further admixture of foreign culture,language and physical appearance mean irish culture can grow and change further?

No violent crimes to my knowledge. She does demand we change to be more like the one she left. She’s particularly angry about the public health system and customer service. I don’t necessarily agree on the customer service bit. She’d also like to see the buses and trains run on time and less parish pump politics, but she’s not necessarily demanding on the subjects.

Do I have to send her home? Or can we accept diverse opinions on how to improve Ireland?

It’s absolutely ridiculous to blame social issues on immigrants. THAT is my point. We are not “importing social issues”, we are seeing social issues due to a myriad of causes. They’re generally the same old issues that haven’t been fixed. The change of melatonin level in the people concerned is completely irrelevant.

So avoiding my question entirely then? Yes we have existing social problems without adding the integration of new populations into the culture. That is quite clearly a different and new to Ireland social problem and other European countries consistently illustrate this and have done for decades. Totally agree with you, the writing is on the wall but so many people refuse to see it. As you say we have our own problems but why import more? I think out government won't do anything until it's too late, this pc world we live in.

I wouldn't call it "PC" myself. It comes from a fundamentally decent mindset that we can be better, do better and treat others more kindly. One I would subscribe to. However it's also a fundamentally naive mindset that steadfastly ignores realities that are staring us in the face, realities that other nations have decades of experience dealing with. And not better it's getting. But nope, we'll get it right for some reason.
