Edit: you knew him personally and the whole thing from start to finish was a mess but still. It's kind of praise the "grab what you can attitude ".

Pat negotiated the best deal he could and then made sure it was delivered, same as anyone would do

Just wondering why I thought it was a good idea to put the cows about to calf in the "big field". Cow out there I'm not sure on she's not due for 2weeks but.....I'll be up at 2in the morning traipsing around the big field trying to find her.....not my smartest of ideas....:)

I used to think and believed that the IFA represented all Irish farmers equally. After reading many of your (IFA) posts I realised that representation is dependent on how successful one sector/lobby group is vis a vie another.
Imo that is not fair representation considering fees are collected from all sectors. I note that the IFA's income has been significantly reduced re the debacle of the EIF levy.

I have done that as well more then once ,the only thing with all that exercise look how fit you will get after 3 rounds of the field and no sign of your cow and just as you lights battery goes on the blink you spot 2 sparkly eyes hunched under the ditch in the first place you should have looked!!!

Definitely the sectors that were dealing with government policy would be more successful than those that were trying to change the world price of commodities.some things are easier delivered, You can't ignore the work done on the fair deal, or the tax free leases, sheep welfare, and all the schemes, I can assure you politicians don't just wake up in the morning and 'what'll we give the farmers today''
I agree with a levy but I'm not paying it when no one else is paying it, it's mickey mouse as it is now.The only way it'll be regularised now is for everyone to stop paying it and put the gun to the heads of the exec to change it fairly.
There's so many not paying now it's totally unfair
