This was pointed out by several people in this thread before the price rise mania took hold on XRP.

No it's where. Some coins initially start on smaller markets , gain value and then are added to bigger exchanges or Binance but by then the real window of opportunity is gone.

Cryptopia is one such place but it's closed to new folk at the minute

Of all the questions that get asked in this forum. This has to be the most frequent.
Go to coinmarketcap, click on the coin in question and select markets. Top exchange is the busiest in relation to coin in question.

Top 17 coins on CMC are in the red.......

I pulled all of my XRP at just over €2. I believe in the project so will buy back in when things settle down.

Some good solid posts regarding Ripple here, realistically how big can Ripple really get $5, $10, $20? ripple just has so many coins available. I think I might transfer my initial deposit to another coin, to make money on ripple you are going to need thousands.

Going by todays trends it could be a good day to buy!

Yes I know that. I just meant getting in early on the coins before they hit the bigger exchanges.

In pretty new to this. It was an honest question.

You just buy them on whatever smaller exchange they are available on.
There is no secret to it.

XRP was already on Binance when I bought in at 60-70cent. The exchange had little to do with it climbing to 2-3 dollars. Thought it might have had something to do with it going from 10cent to 60cent...I dunno.

What got it to 3 dollars was the hype kicking in and all the additional press as it got into the top 10.

They're upscaling so will be open soon I reckon. It's a very good exchange, orders always work and instantly appear in your wallet. Currently their LTC and DOGE markets are paused while they cope with demand. They don't have Ripple though.

Few hours ago Coin Market Cap removed Korean exchanges from their coin price calculations and being that all coins are about 30% pricier over there, it instantly tanked the price on CMC graphs. From what I see this is happening now :
CMC removed Korean exchanges
Prices/graphs instantly tanked (but in practice not relevant to people outside Korea who dont trade there anyhow)
Large number of people did not recognize what actually happened and that there were not moves/selling on their western exchanges
Those same people are now dumping large amount of coins trying to "cut loses" because of the false impression that coin is crashing.

My opinion is that this should have been handled much better by CMC. At least put a banner saying "WE HAVE EXCLUDED KOREAN EXCHANGES BECAUSE OF THIS OR THAT AND IT WILL HAVE SUCH INFLUENCE ON CALCULATIONS". I just hope they do not put back and remove those exchanges at random point in time. Any thoughts

No, it's when.

Ripple is not some new fangled coin that has come out of nowhere to surprise everybody. It was available for a fraction of its current value six weeks ago on multiple exchanges.
