Most definitely not accessible via public transport, but easy to get to by road and you can get a great view of it from the grassy area just over the wall along the road....but be careful...it's kinda steep in places. There's a parking area opposite. Chances are, all or most of the set has been packed away...although the last time I was there, there was one hut left! Still..worth the look just for the view. Ironic that they use a corrie lake in Wicklow as a fjord in Norway...amazing what a bit of CGI'd snow can do...

I know if I attempted to drive there I would take a wrong route and end up in Cork, I've never driven on southern roads either apart from rural Donegal.

You do realise there's no "set" per say that you can visit ? It's a beautiful area but lough Tay is only visible from a steep location (it's a hell of a drop into the lake) and lough dan is not accessible without going onto private property.
