Immobile's goal and assist numbers this season are scary good. Lazio really providing so much entertainment this year, and mainly without Filipe Anderson shockingly. Wonder if he'll upset the balance now he's almost fully fit again.

Napoli continue to look uncharacteristically consistent up top.

The problem tonight above all was his attitude. Yes, people, including myself, get annoyed and give out about players performing poorly but not actually bothering is another thing altogether. Nagatomo is a prime example, he's had horrendous matches and poor seasons but you could never fault his work rate and whilst every Interista knows he's not a brilliant full back there's a begrudging soft spot for him in most as he's a trier. Joao Mario just literally didn't bother tonight and that's unforgivable, particularly for people as passionate about the club as lo zio which is why I suspect he has made that comment.

Though that tweet is skewing what he really said:

If Suning are serious about wanting to get back into the Champions League they HAVE to back Spalletti and help him with a couple of decent additions in this window. Yes, the FPF disaster left by previous owners makes things difficult but there is room for manoeuvre particularly with someone as expert as Sabatini in finding plusvalenze before the end of June. Fiorentina were light years ahead tonight and even though the equaliser was conceded right at the end, the players can consider themselves lucky not to have been hammered. A defence at the end of the game of Nagatomo, Skriniar, Santon and Dalbert only serves to show how thin the squad is. Hopefully the fact that Lazio will win tomorrow and we'll effectively be missing our objective will wake up the Zhangs.

Candreva needs to come on for Joao Mario. As much as he hasn't been on form lately, he can't do worse than the Portuguese is doing. I like the idea that Spalletti is looking at as not having Candreva there is allowing Cancelo to attack more and better but he needs someone better than Joao Mario as his right wing partner. Spalletti needs to be less rigid too tactically as Fiorentina's speed and ability to dribble past players is stretching the team too much. Spalletti wants a 4-2-3-1 with fast, high pressing but needs to realise that that can't work against everyone, at least not with the players Inter have as the defence is being pushed back by Fiorentina and the distance between the attack and back four is a gulf.

Going out of the cup early could be beneficial to Napoli and Inter as both will basically be playing one match a week for the rest of the season.

Paolo Dybala back scoring (2) last night for Juve. Can see Juve going through the gears in 2018 to make it 7 in a row. Napoli blessed to come away with a win against Bologna.

Beppe Bergomi wrote yesterday in La Gazzetta dello Sport that the performances recently have been OK even if the results have been poor and that the important thing in such a key match as today was not to lose; I agree with him and am happyish with tonight, we do need to return to winning next week before the break though.

I wouldnt be surprised if that's Di Francesco gone.

His Roma team has been very disappointing but the lack of transfers have really been the cause of their issues

Out today so didn't see the game. Fiorentina haven't been impressive since gutting the team last summer. Lot of average players brought in & just Chiesa left really of what they had.
Milan have been a huge flop this season. A dozen or so players not performing & very little sign of improvement. Change of managers only showed how precarious of a situation they are in off the field as I imagine they have no money now bar loans from banks.
Haven't a notion of doing much in the Europa League either.

Icardi angry with Perisic for shooting instead of crossing when Icardi had two players between himself and Ivan. No player frustrates me as much as Icardi. When he's not on form he's bone idle and doesn't even get himself into positions which would give options.

I'd say we're having slightly the better of it but that is pushing it as both are devoid of creativity. Has extra time written all over it. The biggest excitement for me so far has been some mad pre-match match on Russian(?) Eurosport; we won 3-2 because we have the better current top player, the better owners and the better fans whilst Milan have more trophies (we never won the Coppa Mitropa and Serie B see
