very windy here in South Dublin, I'm surprised to see that instead of following the standard missed approach procedure with a right hand turn, they actually made a left orbit, towards the mountains where all the rough air probably is at the moment

That’s a local airline operating as a BA franchise though (Comair).

Air France’s Caribbean operation is their own.

could be lots of reasons but possibly maintaining separation from previous departing traffic.

I'm sure they are :P One of them making an approach now.

Wind gusting to 46kts (Mean 34kts) in DUB, FR3105 (RYR1CN) AMS-DUB landed though!

However, wind out of limits for all Ryanair aircraft and all Ryanair aircraft now entering hold. EI495 (EIN45D) FAO-DUB commencing an approach.

I think the peak winds were forecast to be 220 degrees which would have been a different story disruption wise.

They were, however today the forecast was from 260 degrees, and now they've settled out around 240-260.
