Trebor176 wrote: Now that you mention it, I guess there is the 80s/90s show. I haven't listened to NOVA much of late, except a short bit in the evenings.
MikeyTaylor wrote: » It is as if Conor Irwin is the "by Dee-fault" replacement on MG, and that they haven't chosen him as her replacement; rather he has inherited it. I would like Ruth on weekdays breakfast but they can probably only afford to have her on weekends, that might also explain why Colm Hayes is only on every two Saturdays.

FanadMan wrote: » Did anyone else notice a beep every 15 seconds or so on the broadcast Sun night/Mon morning. Heard it first on Pat James and was still beeping after 4AM. Also there on TuneIn and browser player. Couldn't check on FM as I don't live in DKMW area. Thought it was the Ruskies sending me a message that it was time to rise and take over the country.......but as it was a single beep it was too short for morse code Really feckin annoying, especially when you start hearing it and can't unhear it every 15 seconds.

Kyle More wrote: » I would probably describe it as a love hate relationship, Mikey. I'm a long time listener like many of you, but slightly disillusioned with the direction they've decided to take in recent times. Granted, they can still surprise you with a good track from time to time. But for the most part it's quickly becoming another face in the crowd on Irish radio. Nevertheless, I soldier on with it in the hope that things may improve, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

He was discussing Malcolm Young’s funeral which had just taken place in Australia and talked about Malcolm in general. Great I thought. He’s bound to play some AC/DC now as a tribute and I tried to think of what Nova have played over the years. Thunderstruck was my first thought or maybe You Shook Me All Night Long. I couldn’t remember any other AC/DC tracks that Nova have played. But Courtney took me completely by surprise when he decides to play Girls Got Rhythm!!! I cranked the car radio up and for those three and a half minutes. It was bliss. All was forgiven with Nova. Courtney was a DJ god! It was short lived and normal service was resumed shortly afterwards but by god it sounded good and it was a little slice of heaven as long as it lasted. No matter how much more Courtney annoys me in the future I’ll always have respect for him for that little golden nugget.

After it finished he said 'And that was Imagine Dragons with **song name**' then under his breath but loud enough to be heard clearly he says 'and I f*cking HATE Imagine Dragons'. Fair play, I cracked up at that one.
