My EI source did tell me that an announcement is planned for Nov 20th. However she believes that it is a PR event related to the arrival of EI-GCF. Aircraft Mad 1- we don’t mean to come across as rude but stating things so definitely with no track record, and basing predictions on internal staff rumors isn’t a great way for posters here to have belief in your predictions. Remembering my time in EI, there were always lots of rumors, often ignoring obvious business realities. Personally I think SEA and DFW would really complete the EI network to the US. But I realize that operating both would require at least 1 more A330 (more likely 2) IAG could surprise spectators here but I think they are more focused on expanding the Level network with leased A330s (maybe ex-Air Berlin?)

There is very little price fluctuation on LHR which helps and FR offering 9.99 fares won't force EI to complete on price because they simply don't need to with LHR where as they would on other cities. There may be potential for one or two cities but I honestly can't see it happening medium term. It's essentially doubling capacity for the most part which is way to risky. Slot issues and even night curfews are problems which could reduce aircraft utilization by having to land back in Europe.

DUB-LHR is the Dublin Airports busiest route, always people going to need flights any time of the day. Last few times I've been on the 149 or 151 they've tended to be quite full.

They could never for example make a profit on: 06.00 - FCO-DUB-FCO 06.00 - DUB-FCO-DUB You can't pull the DUB based departure because of the feed from the US.

Had heard this before but it's been very quiet now. Any date of Aer Space being announced (in case the plan still on the lines)?

But if you have inside knowledge of these 4 extra frames then it would be in breach of market rules to publish a knowingly inaccurate document. Now if it is the case that they are in negotiations for extra craft or just about to sign an agreement, then they could release the slide as is. If that is the case though I would expect that the only people at EI who would know that would be very senior, as far as I know there are no husband any wife couples at such a level.

Heard something similar, but didn't hear about a daily PHL route. Surely they wouldn't open a new route as a daily flight?
