Photographing artwork in shadow box frames

Hoping someone can help please. I make framed artwork/crafts (in shadow box frames) and then sell them online. My current product photography need serious improvement. There are shadows all over the place and they are just generally not well lit enough. I always remove the glass in the frames obviously but other than that i generally make use of whatever light is coming through the window which i know is not ideal.

Before i spend money on lighting equipment that i may not need could anyone give me any tips on lighting to buy? Was thinking I might get away with buying two daylight bulbs and then if i put them into household lamps and placed those at 45 degree angles either side it would help but if there are any mini studio lighting kits out there that are good value or any other helpful tips that you may have i'd really appreciate it. Don't have a very big budget as you can probably tell.

If you want to avoid shadows then a Ring Flash would probably be the easiest solution.

There are options which are quite inexpensive. They mount on the front of the lens.
