How about 'World Cup'

One person is the keeper and it's everyone for themselves, score a goal and you're through to the next round until the final 2 in each round with the person who didn't score eliminated, repeat until someone is crowned champion.

In the early rounds, you'd always have some fluke goals by weaker players but the worthy champion always prevailed. Picture 15 kids of various ages all scrapping for the same ball. Carnage! Good times.

Feck your squares, we had our own little game. Get a football and a group of lads, pick a target (generally a lamp post) and you get a point for each time you hit the post. First to 10 wins, we used to just boot the dam thing so the next person would have to chase the ball down the road. So you were only allowed one touch of the ball too.

Also there was "IRA"
