Currently watching dl406 attempt to land at Shannon, brave brave pilot considering the wind here. Ironically it's the final flight of the summer season.

What type were the US ones? Could be a combination of runway length and crosswind limits

Getting windy in Dublin now, 33kts gusting to 52kts. Things flying around the apron apparently.

For east coast 16/34 are normally sufficient for A330, west coast is another game entirely

Real question will be EI145/7 to LAX/SFO which does need the length of 28.

Its straight down the runway so not a real problem currently, so zero crosswind

That's the eye, strongest winds are east of the eye. It's happening as expected.

Two A330s and a 767

Crosswind on Runway 10 was right on the limit for the Delta B764 - he said that 40Kt was maximum and it was gusting at times a little above that.
