Leaving Cert Study Logs
5th Year Study Log 2017/18
shortgirl0
I have decided I am going to start a study log for 5th year. I know its really early but I want to be prepared. My general study plan is to do my homework and put the most amount of effort into it as possible, and I am also going to write up everything I learnt that day neatly into a study copy, then at the weekends I'm going to type everything I learnt that week up onto my laptop.
I really hope I can keep organised this year and give myself the best chance for the leaving.
The course I want to do was 575 points this year so I have a lot of work to do to achieve that.
Also the subjects I'm hoping to take are;
Maths (H)
English(H)
Irish(H)
French(H)
Economics(H)
History(H)
Geography(H)
Talk Soon.

So I started school 2 Days ago but I was wrecked after school and forgot to post. The first day was fine. We got our school journals and chose our options. I got all the ones I wanted which I'm sooooo happy about. I didn't get the Irish teacher I wanted but they are making us take a test in 2 weeks to determine if we will be in the slower or faster paced class. I'm generally quite happy with all my other teachers. Yesterday was our first full day and mostly the teachers talked about what the syllabus is like or what the leaving cert is like for that subject and I know most people find that annoying but I'm actually so excited. So far my homework has been;
- Maths: Binomial Theorem and other general algebra Q's.
- French: Learning Vocab.
- History: Q's on The establishment of Radio Teilifís Éireann.
I can't really start studying yet as I don't have any solid notes yet.
Talk soon.

Over the weekend I typed up almost all notes that I wrote last week.

- English: compared child and morning song.
- Maths: Wrote up notes on Algebraic Fractions
- French: Wrote up notes on the verb Finir

Really unhappy with my work today, I was exhausted and kept getting distracted with silly things like helping with my sisters homework. Tomorrow I have 2 hours of homework club and also an early day so I'm hoping to get a lot done.
So far bad start to week...

So today I made up for the lack of work yesterday.
Homework and study:
- Maths: Caught up on classwork
- French: Questions from textbook and paragraph on myself.

and I'm about to write up some key words and definitions for economics.
I'm also pretty sure I'm going to take up classics as an eighth subject but will drop it if work load is too much.
Also I think I might start Evening study on a Tuesday to help my study.
