Went in and got this today - they tested the xbox then formatted it. Signed me up for a loyalty card which brought the price down to €51 for Fifa ronaldo edition, forza and hot wheels. Serious BA thanks OP.

got this deal in newbridge today, heck of a deal, went for the forza/hotwheels pack, and of course got Fifa Ronaldo edition which is priced at €89.99, also got the football jersey which is €29.99.
got the whole lot for €58.99
Think ill sell on Fifa as I prefer to play it on ps4 being honest...

Cheers but no joy - I get a single tone and nothing. The strange thing is, when I initially connect the power I can try either the power or eject buttons 2 or 3 times and get a tone but it doesn't power on. I then have to disconnect the power and reconnect it before that'll happen again. Then when I try the eject button, on the second or third attempt I can feel some slight movement as if it's about to fire but then nothing.

Maybe try changing the fuse in the plug? If not just return it for a replacement.

I did think of that earlier but the same cable powers on another device so the fuse seems OK. Yeah it looks like I'll have to bring it back, I won't be able to get back in there until Thursday. Cheers for the suggestions.

Are you plugging it into an extension lead? Not sure about this model, but they strongly advised against it for the earlier model. Try plugging it straight into the wall. Also try a different hdmi lead / port on the TV

It's straight into the wall. Surely it should power on without a hdmi connected? Either way I've tried a couple of ports but nothing.

hi there, I brought the box with me , but its not needed, just bring the console, controller, power lead and hdmi cable.. aye I was given the choice of the mine craft or forza edition, in mine the games are a code that u download , but the fifa is an actual disc..

The only thing you have to bring is the xbox, power cable, hdmi and a controller. They need to make sure a game works on it also. They asked me if I wanted the Forza/Hotwheels bundle or the Minecraft bundle.

I completely reset mine before bringing it over.

It depends on the store by the sounds of it. I didn't bother wiping mine, they tested it there and then, done in 10 min. I brought a game but they didn't use it. I doubt they'll accept withoug official controller

I asked in Dundrum earlier, they told me not to wipe before bringing it in. They said it'll be much quicker to leave it as is, but not sure I'd be happy to leave them logging into my account so I'd probably remove the account from the xbox.

Littlewoods have a similar offer. Console, Fifa 18, hot wheels and fh3 for 260 or 310 with an extra controller. I'm new to all this but was thinking of getting as a present. How do the downloads work? Can I register beforehand or do I need to open the box? I'd hate to give it as a present and then have to set up and spend the day downloading games.

There is a card in the box with the game code on it, you'll have to set up the Xbox with your gamertag etc and then input the code and download the game.

Minecraft is tiny so wouldn't take long, Forza is about 50gb so depending on your internet could take a while. If you're on a decent Virgin package it'll be pretty quick, probably 30-40 minutes. If you're on some adsl connection out in the country then good luck.

Got this today in Galway. No problem at all. They tested it in about 15 minutes. Got the Ronaldo edition with Forza for 70 quid.
