Apparently, Connery had the style and charisma required for Bond, however, what Sir Sean Connery didn’t have was hair. The legendary actor started going bald at a very early age. In fact, he was only 21-years-old when he began losing his hair, and by the time he was in his early 30s and was cast for Dr. No, he had to wear a hairpiece. He was never ashamed of the fact that he started losing his hair too early and he often showed up with his bald spot at press meetings. However, the role of James Bond required an absolutely styled haircut, so Mr. Connery had to wear a hairpiece in every single James Bond movie he starred.

Pictures Of Lilly wrote: » Why does nearly every young man in Ireland have that sort of GAA/soccer player haircut? With it short at the sides, and the gradual blend in a length between sides and top. I don't know what it's called, but I think yer man McGregor influences a lot of it too. Even Ryan Turbridy sort of has it now. It actually doesn't look that bad a all, but I'm just sick of seeing them. It's like they've no imagination. These cuts definitely weren't around 10 years back. It's almost as if the kind of James Bond (Daniel Craig & Sean Connery) haircut wouldn't be cool now. I guess if you want to convince your peers that you're in touch with the times, you'd be better of with one of these haircuts. And when I'm getting my hair cut, I often fear that the foreign hair dressers are going to start doing that sh1t with it! Anyway, at the rate things are going, we could be seeing the likes of Joe Duffy with one of these!
