Personally I would let the " friends " who are cancelling go jump , would ask the hotel to plate up the no shows dinners . Would wrap them in tin foil and bring to a homeless shelter or womens shelter in the area . And lwhoosh my dress and dance

And did so by trying to publicly humiliate them into it, after threatening them. There's nothing 'simply' about it.

She signed a contract, didn't want to abide by it, tried to publicly shame the other party over the contract. Why shouldn't there be criticism?

Okay Ive read the thread and all the articles and I still dont get it, how did they make the leap to actually getting on Liveline? She sounded like she didnt want to do it, did the hotel arrange it?

Tbh I know she's in the wrong but if I was the owner of that hotel and I heard my manager humiliating a guest no matter how much of a muppet on national radio I mightn't be too happy...

This is what I was thinking too.

It's one thing to bluff about calling Liveline in the hope that you get what you're looking for...but when the bluff didn't work, why go through with it? Who pushed it through?

Maybe she really did think that her complaint was legitimate, which makes me think it likely wasn't about gifts either. I'd like to know how that €2000 was arrived at.

Exactly. Lot of proper c**ts posting on this thread. The woman was in the wrong, got exposed nationally and admitted as much. But the amount of gloating and delight in here when she's gone and ruined a day she's dreamt about most of her life (probably) is pretty sad.

Oh god cringing so hard after listening to that clip. Don't think she expected it to escalate as far as it did. Hotel dealt with that very professionally. I love how he offered to cancel and reschedule her wedding, a very generous offer but completely called her bluff.
I'd say she was just pure stressed out and was a bit of a nightmare so close to the big day and just didn't expect to be called out on it
