It's a three day "all inclusive" event. The couple can't afford the wedding they want. I think it's cheeky because various guests might only want to attend one day and budget for that. But apparently everyone has paid up! The groom says "why not put the money towards the wedding than a business owner?" but surely that money people have paid is going towards various businesses? http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-derbyshire-41317297

If the wedding is on this Saturday, Sarsfields and Moorefield (the two Newbridge teams) are playing each other at 5.15 in the 2017 Reserve A Championship Final. That's important, isn't it? Isn't it??

It covers the drinks reception and finger food etc, it covers the rental of the function room, it (sometimes) covers corkage or wine, it covers the bridal suite and normally rooms for the parents also along with a 5 course meal normally. 60 to 80 per head would be about average but some of hotels go above the 100 euro per head for their higher packages. A smaller wedding also makes it more expensive and worse if people drop out. If you are inviting 250 plus a few no shows wont bother the hotel but most hotels have minimum number depending on the size of the venue and dropping below this will not be let slide by the hotel. I reckon the 130 is probably close to minimum for the hotel in question. Also I don't know where people are attending weddings but I don't think I ever had a bad meal and some have been absolutely delicious and mountains off it too.

I dont really see anything special about it. My gym is full morning, noon and night with people who are taking their own personal training seriously. How is it a sacrifice when people do something they want to do? Itd be a sacrifice if they hated it alright. But they hardly do it because they hate it - otherwise theyd all be skipping the game and going to the wedding.
