I read a story a few weeks back about a Thai boxer who made a switch to Boxing and eventually became World super flyweight champion. He said the most difficult part of the transition was stopping himself from kicking. He said it was constantly on his mind, every second of his early boxing fights, It was just something he was so used to doing, a natural reflex. As well as focusing on boxing and on Mayeather, Conor's mind could be occupied with thoughts of don't kick, don't knee, don't elbow, don't pull, don't drag, don't wrestle in the clinch.

I think it's fair to say a large amount of people are watching this in the hope that McGregor does go off-script either out of frustration or some unorthodox strategy.

I'll be very disappointed if this is a run of the mill Mayweather fight. I want to see a Superman punch or an instinctive leg kick or something.

I was not taking most of Pete's posts seriously from the beginning as for me he seemed too invested in the whole fanboy of Conor, which made him less objective.

So, after all his posts intimating that Conor is very unlikely to win, where is his verdict on the poll?

I knew something was up due to Bieber's fight call last week.

Was it a veiled dig at Floyd, or does he actually believe the fight goes the distance? And, did he call a winner?

Floyd by tko in rounds 4 or 5. Conor, i believe, may be withdrawn by his team at this point, maybe even sooner. Conor is a world class self promoter, but alas not a world class boxer- not near it. If Canelo, a genuine world class boxer couldn't best him, how in the blue hell does a novice do so? The only way he does so is if he goes off script and lands a kick flush on Floyd's head. That would be priceless.

Kavanagh just on MMA Hour recons one of two things will happen:

1. At the start if Mayweather takes a step back it will be Conor in Round 6
2. At the start if Mayweather moves forward, it will be Conor in Round 1

Anyone who wants to see what happens a wild swinging southpaw against an accurate orthodox counter puncher should just take a look at what happened Indongo against Crawford on Saturday night. Nice one for the heads up. That is what I will do. I think it will be over a lot sooner if Mayweather decides he wants an early night. I'm having a grand on. Will post my bet before the fight. Looking forward to seeing your fight night bet.

To paraphrase Max Kellerman..if you are a boxing fan with a pulse, you do not wanna miss this card! It also features the US debut of 'The Monster' Naoya Inoue. Two weight Japanese fighter 13-0-0-11 kos. He's a phenom..and the rest of the fighters on the card are badasses

Yea that loss for Gonzalez really took the sting out of the tail of his reputation in the sport. He and Golovkin were on a roll, fighting on the same cards and extending their respective undefeated records. Gonzalez losing was not part of the plan. I actually watched the fight and I thought Gonzalez was very poor, you can say he was robbed, but for me he didn't do enough to put the fight beyond doubt

I have heard allot about Inoue. Watching a few of his wins on YouTube. I was hoping Gonzalez might fight him but it never happened. I need to see a dominant performance from Gonzalez in this rematch to believe in him. He has to smash 'what ever his name is' and call out Inoue after his fight, No more of this 'Polite little man from Nicaragua act' Gonzalez needs to grow some balls.
