But said, if Conor did try to do it solo. There's a chance some futile legal proceedings from the UFC would tie it up long enough to let the window close. And he'd definitely get shafted in his MMA career. He used the Ali act as a bargaining chip in negotiations. But it makes sense to let them have their share, in order to maintain future prospects imo.
Section 10 of the Ali Act states that no promoter is permitted to have a contract with a boxer that has clauses preventing the boxer from participating in a professional boxing match against another boxer under contract.
