Sage 50 Alternative

Hi,

We are using Sage 50 for invoicing customers.
We find it a nightmare. Full of faults and also their customer service is so bad.
Does anyone have an alternative?
We are a small business issuing about 20 invoices a day.

Big Red Cloud might be a good option. You can also give your accountant online access so they can log in and get necessary information for year end accounts.

Other alternatives would be
Xero (xero.com)
Wave (waveapps.com) - free
Bullet (bullethq.com) - free

All reasonably similar and worth poking around to see what fits your own needs best. They all have their quirks and limitations, so it's a usually a question of which is easier to live with.

Xero is a little more complicated, but does give better reports. It's also slightly more expensive than BRC at $30 per month (can't reclaim the vat) where as BRC is €28 (can claim back the Vat).

I do find the payments and receipt screen a little more straight forward in BRC but theres not much of a difference.

Maybe try the monthly trial on both and see what clicks better with you.
