(and none of them by top fighters either btw) Very good fighter on his day... in fairness... but certainly not the best. It won't be entertaining, if you enjoy the idea of reasonably well matched opponents... Conor will be game and up for it. But that won't be enough to make a fight out of it. He will need a miracle! I think Conor should fight a tiger or a gorilla in his next fight... I'm sure all his loyal fans will back him to come out victorious in those contests too!! :pac:

Conor asked Paulie to spar, and Paulie obliged - then when Paulie left Conor gave an interview stating he wanted to teach Paulie a lesson for previous words. A little bit sneaky in my book, as boxing is a well established sport there are many ethical rules to which Conor seems ignorant. The myth that Conor had this unbelievable and superhuman punching power has well and truly been quashed - most people on here already knew this wouldn't hold up when facing a pro boxer, Paulie confirmed such and is now public enemy number 1, the efforts on social media to discredit him are truly amazing, and starting to get more cringy by the day.

Even if his self believe is real, surely it's just a belief that he "can" win, rather than a delusion that it's the only outcome. The only way I can see a negative physiological effect in future. Would be were be a fighter had bought into their own hype and believed that winning was routine, they just had to turn up. For example, Rousey didn't handle her first loss well. I don't believe Conor fits that mould.

What if Mayweather knocks him out in the first round? You think his ego could take being Ko'd by "brittle hands"?
Mellor wrote: » I think you might be mixing me up with another poster. Not sure what you are on about there about believing nothing negative about Conor. I'm backing my opinion up with history btw. He has lost in MMA before and it dídn't crush his ego. In fact I think it made him a better fighter on more than one occasion. He's competed in JiuJitsu at the euros (biggest comp in the world) - he lost. I simply don't think that he's under the same false delusion that Ronda Rousey was. And I don't think that's should be a polarizing opinion. Why would brittle hands be relevant in a round one KO? He could well knock him out in the first, and he could well break his hand doing it. The fights then over, a broken hand is irrelevant. "Brittle hands" might make a 12th round KO less likely. But if that happens, I don't think his ego would be hurt.
