Carparks are not big enough.......apparently

I decided to go to Blanchardstown today with my GF to look at some baby bits (Due last week)

I parked in the multi-Storey car park on the 3rd floor, Smack bang in the middle overlooking KFC. There were empty spaces each side of me spanning the entire width of the carpark.

After some Kays, a sneaky ice cream and a lifetime in Mothercare we arrive back at the car to find a dark blue Ford Focus parked right beside me in the next bay???

Right ****ing beside me.....out off the 20ish spaces each side of me and the few thousand all around he/she decides it a good idea to slip into the bay beside me!!

Was she afraid her car would be lonely? Was she craving some social acceptance by parking beside me??

Now..... it's no big deal but it really intrigues me why people do this?

Is it something in their brain that goes ohh look park beside that car because you don't want to park alone!!

Theres this 'individual' at the Blanch center who consistently parks their 06 silver almera arseways, taking up two spaces.

KFC side of the Library car park.

At the rear fence, usually about half way down the row.

Be there tomorrow from 11 onwards to witness this fascinating natural phenomenon.

I can understand someones frustration at being inconvenienced, its a pain, but trashing someone elses car, there is no right to punish them and they have done you little wrong by blocking you, as to the other damage, she should get her own cameras installed in her car. I cant see how you can square her damaging other peoples property when she is doing the same to someone who has only blocked her and iven her own car has been damaged by others???

Now if both sides were blocked or if there was damage that was clearly from the car beside hers, take pictures, but exacting revenge may not work out well.

As I had damage to my car and was sickened because of it, I asked for footage, data protection limits an individuals personal right to access that I believe, but in my own example of some tool scratching the side of my car, the sympathetic security guard said to me, you'd have to see it being done if it was seemingly apparent there was a paint swap, and even then you'd need footage.

No it won't. Because she'll have keyed the passenger side and they won't know until later on.

Even scumbags think they have a right to damage other peoples cars, what hope is there, if the colour of your car pisses someone off it gets keyed now.

A friend of mine had a new car keyed while parked outside the shop in a small village. The shop had CCTV camera and showed clearly a seemingly respectable local retired civil servant carrying out the deed. No one ever thought he would say boo to a cat, turns out he is a scumbag vandal who was jealous someone got a new car like one he had always wanted.

There's something weird about this. Yaris' are tiny aren't they? If your OH was parking in the middle of a space other cars would actually need to be regularly parking and encroaching into the same space for her not to be able to get in. I don't think this has happened to me once in all my time driving.

On the occasions where cars are squeezed a bit tight together it could be just as likely another car's fault down the line somewhere. Yes, maybe a car shouldn't try to park if the space is a bit tight but maybe the car park is busy and there's not a lot of options.

If she actually wanted to give them a lesson she could leave a note or something on the windscreen of the offending car. Instead it comes across like she has a screw loose.

If somebody parks too close to you, it might not be completely their fault. For example, the person on the other side of them might have parked across the line (and subsequently left) and they had to squeeze in because it was the only spot and they had to be somewhere quick.

Not sure what 'safely' getting in the car means. You can either squeeze in your door or you can't?
