Playing TW has made me realise how much I want this format for other games.

Obviously a 40k version would be the nuts. They tried it to an extent with DOW: Dark Crusade but this is more full on. Abstracting the base building to the turn-based layer makes the battles quicker and ups the pace, which is a good thing to my mind.

There was a game mode for it in Command and Conquer 3 that was ok, I'm sure Blizzard could knock one together for Starcraft and a Homeworld version would be like crack to me.

Homeworld would really lend itself to it in my mind.
The modularisation of ships is already in place, hyperspace would give some good flexibility with where you attack, how reinforcements are handled and, of course, it adds a layer to the tactics of the RTS as well.
The Homeworld Complex Mod 10 was released last year for HW:Remastered and it shows how far you can go with ship customisation.

Everything still fits into archetypes.

Infantry, Spear-infantry, cavalry, skirmisher cavalry, archers/ranged, field artillery, siege artillery.

The only difference is some of the cavalry ride wolves instead of horses.

They've got icons above them. You don't really need to pay too much attention to the specifics if you don't want to, although it's fun to look at.

just finished Batman: Arkham Knight and even though I normally don't like car games or car sections it wasn't too bad
I actually played most of the missions which I hadn't done in the previous 2 games but still you can feck off with those Riddler puzzles and the amount of them, over 200!

So have just started Prey and don't know anything about it so it will be a surprise as I go along

Finally finished Just cause 3 including DLC so I've moved on, gave Dirt 4 a go. Not great so far, but I heard it gets better after michigan. That fog!

Working through the ludicrously fantastic Rime, just finished up the Epistory storyline (have to work on a couple of achievements

) and dipping into Overwatch, Motorsport Manager and Sims 4 atm too.

Finished Arkham Knight except for the last few riddler trophies. I'll get back to them later.
Other than that Total War: Warhammer. Hard Empire campaign this time.

Also just started X-Com 2 last night and I'm wondering what took me so long.:D
Only at the initial stages but really enjoying it.

Just started Rime myself, Brilliant game. reminds me so much of Ico for some reason. Reviews were only mediocre. Dont know why.

Been playing a lot of Northgard lately, after picking it up in the Steam Summer sale. It's an Early Access game but it's damn good and very addctive

I've put 38 hours into Stardew Valley over the last two weeks. Totally hooked. I'm halfway through my first winter and I can't wait for spring. Clint is currently working on my iridium watering can, I've nearly 50 quality sprinklers, and over 300 quality fertilisers. Farming!

Only thing I found was to keep improving everything incrementally, have auto training on. Buy all the water and food even if you don't need it and don't rely on the ai for your bad glads.

First Ep of Life is Strange complete, decent game but hopefully improves. Now to get stuck into either Dishonoured 2 of Fallout 4, but which first...

Started Invisible Inc, which I bought mostly on the basis that it's made by the same people who did Mark of the Ninja, which I loved.

I haven't had a game make me feel this stupid in a long time. And I mean that in a good way! You really need to think about what you're doing and where all of your agents are all the time. I don't usually play tactical strategy games, which might be why I'm finding it so tricky, and the procedural generation means that I can't just quit and start again and play the same level, but I really feel like I learn something every time I make a mistake.

Still playing Dirt 4 and it has got better since the Michigan rally in the FWD car.
I think the N4 car is lot more fun to drive, but so are all the 4WD cars lol.
I just unlocked the historic rally section, I found the old cars fun in Dirt Rally, which is where you started out.

One thing that annoys me, in cockpit view in some cars on certain tracks you can't read what gear the car is in. Very annoying for when I wanna pick a gear for a slower corner.
I've had some interesting spin outs but I think its due to using the gamepad rather than a wheel.

Back playing Fallout 4, really enjoying the settlement this time around I hadnt bothered building themup much last time but its actually good fun, Ive got this pyramid esc building going on in Red Rocket looks deadly. The draw out distance thing though is really annoying, my setlement doesnt appear visible until im right on top of it!

Been streaming Silent Hill 2 & 3. Viewers seem ecstatic that someone's playing it. Still lots of love for these titles and rightly so since they're still the peak of video game horror, nothing has even come close to them since. 3's graphics are still incredible looking. Even on PS2 it still holds up although I'm playing PC version widescreen.

I'm alternating between Skyrim and Cities: Skylines.

I did try to play the Witcher but I was just not getting into it. I probably didn't do myself any favours by watching a Witcher 3 playthrough online. The graphics and gameplay are different so I kept getting frustrated with the Witcher because I was too used to what I saw of the Witcher 3. I'd like to play the games in order though so I'm sure I'll give it another go at some stage.
