Right so let's pick up where we left off!
Lately I've noticed Chloe Boucher is being let absolutely raid Penneys and take anything she wants. She seems to only be using the hashtag #iworkwithpenneys and not #ad which it should be. Literally once a month she does the biggest hauls and it's all for free, but no mention of it being an ad or sponsored. I think Penneys think they can get around that by asking them to use #iworkwithpenneys as I've seen a few influencers use the same.

Do they have to declare when it's an affiliate link? There's a huge increase in "just swipe up to shop my look" or that liketoknowit app. They get a small % from that so doesnt that count as paid and should be declared?

Oh my God. Just watched Grace's snaps there. What a sneaky snake hiding it behind your name like that. Seriously anyone who has defended her in the past needs to go and have a look at those snaps and tell me she's not trying to fool her audience and misrepresent. I would never in a million years have spotted that #sp behind her name unless it was mentioned here.
Has she no shame? Seriously? After all that's happened to her lately concerning transparency and this is how she acts? Don't tell me she didn't know what she was doing because she 100% did.

Yes she declares on Instagram much more readily than snapchat, she also talks more on her snaps and slips in ads much more (the Meaghers bag behind her during a hair tutorial), she actually seems to have gotten worse since she was publicly named by the ASAI

I don't follow her on any social media but I had a quick look at her instagram and it's nearly all declared sponsored or ads. I'm assuming she's declaring there as it's more permanent than a snap. What happened to posting up a pick of a product you genuinely like with no kick back?

I watched graces snaps for the first time in ages every single snap
Was promoting and linking companies to her snap.
She mentioned one company over and over and then #sp on only two snaps it was a tiny #sp at the top left corner of the snap.
I don't understand how brands work with her she would promote anything and everything she has no credibility.
I would not but one thing she promoted I don't believe she genuinely likes anything she promotes there's zero follow ups or reviews.
Imo she is by far the worst blogger out there for being non transparent and has zero interest in following the guidelines the ASAI need to up there game with these bloggers fine the companies they promote with zero transparency.. fine tha agency who represents them as well

Just when I see Spotlight mentioned it made me think about the fact that MUF and Terrie were brand ambassadors for Spotlight initially but there seems to be lots of new brand ambassadors and I haven't seen MUF or Terrie mention spotlight in a while?
I've used the Spotlight strips and personally think they are really great would highly recommend them but I just thought it was interesting that now the ones who were pushing it so much and saying how great it was no longer mention it (because they are no longer being paid to?). You'd imagine if it was something they genuinely loved and felt so strongly about then it would continue to feature on their social media...

Was just coming on to say the exact same. She must of had about 20 snaps, if not more up about the products including a demo and a link to buy. She's one of the worst offenders!

I made 2 complaints last week. My first time doing it and surprisingly easy. Can be done from phone, including attaching screenshots. Got a letter from ASAI acknowledging the first one.

I know the charter here states we can't share screenshots of snapchat/instagram stories due to the fact that what is on there is designed and intended to be gone within 24 hrs so preserving it in screenshot form is a breach, but is that the case in general or just for here?
Is she really lax / adheres just about on snapchat because she knows it can't be shared as evidence against her?

Graces most recent snaps have #sp in white, as small as possible, against a white background. It's disgraceful how she carries on, she'll do anything to try and cheat, if you arent squinting you'd miss the #sp!

Grace seems to have really lost her way. She hardly ever blogs anymore, and her snap is just her child and her food shopping. I feel like she doesnt care and because she'll endorse any bit of rubbish for a few quid, her bills are taken care of. She's gotten so lazy re blogging, zero effort. I think she feels untouchable by ASAI because she snaps so much without disclosure and the snaps disappear so she reckons she can get away with anything. She's constantly asking and hinting for freebies too, which I find a bit tacky considering she gets so much already. She did that with her camera lens, and was hinting like theres no tomorrow when she broke her phone. Was delighted to see she ended up paying full price for it tbh.

Hah I saw that on Snapchat, she just doesn't care. I am interested in seeing the adjudications by the ASAI. It's a shame that they can't do more when it comes to enforcement and really until they or someone can bloggers/influencers will continue to get away with it even though we can see through it, there are many who can't.
