Nearly new Pirelli tyres on it and about 7 or 8 months tax left. 190k miles still going strong, bad news is the clutch needs replacing which will cost at least 600 quid. I've looked at the ads and know it's not worth much but would I have any hope of even getting 1k ish for it?

I've read a lot about the cars reputation, I've had the car 12 years, put over 140k miles on it. Only trouble I've had is fuel pump went over 100k miles ago, had to replace both rear calipers and had to drop the sump to clean out the oil gauze mesh thing that was apparently 80% blocked when I got it done. Will miss me car, handles well, I found it to be very reliable, I regularly serviced it every 10k miles and kept it topped up with oil and regularly changed the fuel filter which is a bit of a pig of a job. Personally I think the reason so many fail is them not being looked after properly, the big end failure they are known for is because the oil gauze mesh thing gets blocked, and not servicing the car when it's due and keeping the oil topped up, just my opinion though, mind you over 140k miles and never a breakdown kinda proves my point. Pity because I was hoping to break the 200k on the car :-) Actually does anyone know if I take the car off the road can I claim the tax back or do I have to scrap it?
