Ray Foley fought to add her to the breakfast show and she joined that team for the next 6 months until the show ended. After that she started covering random shows on 98FM when the main presenters were off aswell as presenting weekend shows on the station...then added in covering for Paula McSweeney on Today FM when she was off (or covering for D&D or D'Arcy). She joined Foley on the Six O'Clock Friday shows on and off covering for other presenters and made the gig her own. She has now worked her way up to be the voice of the station in many ways, all the idents etc. She has a regular gig on Saturdays on Today FM and 98FM and has overtaken Paula as the number one cover presenter on mid-morning, midday and afternoons. To me thats how radio should work...people who are talented working their way up. Personally, I think she definitely deserves a weekday full-time slot but she'll get there (hopefully at the expense of Al Porter).

He's already done popular slots on SPIN and 98 and there's really only one more promotion for him in Communicorp which is Today FM. Furthermore he is nearly three years doing the 98FM drivetime slot and shows no sign of losing popularity. I think he, not Al Porter, should have gotten the lunchtime show when D&D were promoted. Al should have got the drivetime show on 2FM.

I think with Apella and touring he has his hands full at the moment so 98FM is probably the perfect gig for him...that said he does love radio and I would imagine Today FM or 2FM would be a goal of his. As for Al Porter, no. Eoghan McDermott is far far better on radio than Porter.

She sounds great and her interview style is much better that D&D in the same time slot. Anytime they interview someone about a serious subject its cringe worthy especially when Dermot makes a joke about i,,, he's like a little kid looking for attention. Muireann seems to be very well versed on any subject she talks about and dare I say it she seems to be a female version of Anton but with a better musical taste.

But Muireann would be a welcome addition to the daytime lineup; I'd give Dara Al's slot and maybe give Muireann Fergal Darcy's slot.

Ironically, she was a stand-in then as well, standing in for Alison Curtis while she was on maternity leave!

I remember him on I radio and his voice would be gone every second day- prob from talking sh!te all day long. It doesn't seem to be as husky or as forced sounding now.
