Its happened over and over again since 2013. Its a pity this Tipp game isnt on in Limerick and let them open PUC with Waterford and Wexford.

Cork is a fair auld spin from most of Clare (be easier in 2076 when the Lim Cork motorway opens) I know there was a ticket issue but the travelling Clare support in Thurles seemed low and it is easier to get to. FWIW - I think Tipp numbers might be down for this game.

You'd wonder if the psychological side of that was worth a point or two yesterday. The Cork fans traveled expecting a Munster title, I reckon that rubbed off on the players.

Shamefull more like, when was the last time clare had equal support? You have people giving out about the players yet they cant even turn up to support for a Munster Final. Not just due to success because outnumbered in first game in 2014 as well
finbarrk wrote: » There will be a lot more than that there. Why is 3.00pm a terrible time? It's a perfect time for most day trips. Loads of Cork people will go as they are on a high now. Pity it's clashing with U2 in Croke Park though.
Clareman wrote: » As much of a pain in the hole Thurles is to get in or out of, Cork is 100 times worse, to get to Pairc Ui Franc in time for a 3 o'clock throw in I'd say you would need to be leaving Ennis no later than 11.30, that's giving yourself 2 hours of a drive, half an hour to park, half and hour to walk to the ground and half an hour to get a place in the ground, Clonmel is only 1 hour 15 from Cork.
danganabu wrote: » Been a little misleading by referring to Clonmel there Clareman, the vast vast majority of Tipp hurling fans are from the North and Mid Divisions of the county, the drive time from Nenagh is 2 hours.

I think anyone who was interested in going either knew how to get tickets or knew how to find out. I got mine online no problem. I think many supporters just didn't believe Clare could win and opted not to go.
