Give it a good test drive at least to check for knocks in the suspension, bushes and the like are pricey enough to sort on them accords.

Any smell of fumes when driving, particularly in stop start/slow moving traffic. This will mean a new manifold at a LOT of money.

Timing chains were known to stretch on the early diesel versions of that model. Cracking exhaust manifolds were also a common issue on that model.

I think he means a partial honda service history and the rest by an independent garage. It's still a fsh.

I just have a feeling that if Bill thought he could get more for that car he wouldn't be selling it at that price. It's a cheap car for sure but there is usually a good reason for it.

First GTV I've seen that doesn't have AC.
Looks seriously clean inside though!
You just don't see red leather in cars these days

The last car made me look at cheap Alfa Romeos. Is a sub 1k Alfa always going to be a heart breaker? I know nothing about them but this is tempting. Change from 500 quid and Nct'd to January.

You might be lucky and not get much hassle from it but in general mechanically they are like chocolate.

Fully comp, 5000 miles a year and cover for 60 days in Europe.

Based on my 30 years of driving all manner of Alfas that is just bollox.

As long as normal maintenance has been kept up they are as reliable as any other car.

I'd agree that the suspension is made of chocolate in the heavy 5 cylinder engine.
Cost me a fortune in wishbones and cv joints.
