Ufc poor enough numbers in comparison to any mayweather fight so say they manage to drag in their highest ever 1.6 I'm not sure how much mayweather will bring to the table as it's not a boxing match many of his fans will pay for. I reckon it tops out around the 3.5m mark. Still a record breaking number for a UFC fighter by a long long way

His most recent ppv did terrible numbers, 400k. Which is fairly average by UFC standards, but off the chart for Conor who lowest is 850k I believe. Across all PPVs they average about the same (1.3m Floyd, 1.27m Conor). But it's disengenous to compare directly as Floyd has 3 times as many PPVs. A few months ago I said if it happens, it would go to 2nd in all time PPV behind May-Pac. Which means 2.5m+ buys. But looking at the coverage since the official announcements, all bets are off. I think we're looking at anything in the 3-5m range now. Pro boxing ability aside, the fact is coming into this Conor is a bigger PPV draw than any of Floyds previous opponents.
The Reservoir Dubs Anchorman wrote: » Conor is not a bigger draw that Pacman, or De La Hoya for that matter. PPV has gotten more common and is increasing in size because of the work Mayweather, Pacman, De La Hoya etc have done over the years. Conor's biggest fight against Diaz 1.6m buys at what $49 was it? Mayweather's 4.6m at $99. This may break all records both sides are trying to promote the hell out of it but I have a feeling alot of people will prefer to watch it out and not pay for it in america. Will be like a carnival atmosphere on the night.

They don't include PPVs sold elsewhere probably because the UFC have TV deals elsewhere and the amount of PPVs sold wouldn't be all that much. Do the Mayweather PPVs just cover north america or do they cover worlwide PPVs? Was the Mayweather fight available in Europe on TV or did you have to pay for it?

Mayweather's 4.6m at $99.

Coming into this, Conor's PPV numbers are bigger than any of Floyds previous opponents. That's a quantitiable fact. Last 3 were 1.65m Diaz, 1.6 Alvarez, 1.35 Aldo, or there abouts. Prior to the Mayweather fight, Manny's highest PPV was 1.4m (Marquez). Oscar's was also 1.4m I believe UFC PPVs are $59 now. I'd guess this will be $99 too. But I'm not sure of the relevance of the above tbh. I acknowledged Floyd/Pac holds the record. I said he rated higher than previous opponents, not higher than Floyd. Floyd has the top 3 PPVs or all time. Absolutely the biggest draw of all time. Tyson is at 4th and 5th. McGregor is at 6th and 7th I think. (Or something to that effect, there's no official numbers ever). May-Pac's 4.6m was off the charts. For various reasons it blew everything out of the water. A year ago I thought no fight could come close to that for years. Including the freakshow between Conor and Floyd. I said, 2.5m before. But I think it blows past that now. The record is a different story. It be an interesting market to bet on Imho
