I was in Spain in the first half of this week and London the second half. It's been quite a bit hotter in London. Albeit was northern Spain but really wasn't expecting that.

Ypu it takes a couple of months for the sea to catch up with the season.

August and September are the best months for swimming in the sea.

The water in the 40ft is always cold, it's always amused me that it's such a popular spot and yet is one of the coldest places along the coast to swim.

Sea is 13 deg now, if we are lucky it will hit 14 or 14.5 by September, it will be 7 in December / Jan. The variations in the water are fairly small.

Water will take quite a while to warm up. Not that its actually that cold. Have been swimming quite a lot in Lough Corrib and north part of Lough Derg recently and its been lovely.

the variations are quite small but water will lose heat more easier than it will ever gain it

That used to drive me nuts. I would always drive long distances on Sunday evenings and the radio was awful. Serious gap in the market for a normal show.

Podcasting for the win on a Sunday

John Kenny used to have The Rock Show on 2FM at 20:00 on a Sunday. It was a showcase of the best of everything from metal to punk. Certainly not to everyone's taste, but a great exposure for smaller local bands on national radio at a decent time of day. One of the few times I thought RTE worthwhile.

The place as it turns out has awful reviews on trip advisor and right in the middle of the strip in zante. We both wanted a relaxing cheap beach holiday.

Virgin Media are utter sh*te. Utterly awful. There has been a significant drop off in the quality of service since they took over UPC (who weren't exactly perfect but at least provided an acceptable level of service).

I've 120MB broadband with them. I'd say the most I've ever had on a speed test is 20MB. It regularly reads at around 10-12MB. I've had issues streaming Sky Go with the poor speed they provide. Their customer service is horrendous. They will only provide support between 9am and 5pm, Monday - Friday i.e. when you're not at home and, if you call from work, they'll ask you to contact them when at your actual router/set top box.

We're currently waiting on a house renovation to start so can't change provider and get tied into a new deal but, as soon as it's done, I'll be gone from them in a heartbeat.

That service is 120 megaBITS (Mb). The speed test is in megaBYTES(MB). There are 8 bits in a byte. Therefore, you should expect to see ~15MB (120/8)... Apologies if that sounds condescending, but a possible explanation for what you're seeing.
