Do you enjoy the heat?

With all this lovely hot weather around, do you actually enjoy it or are you looking forward to the return of the grey and miserable.

Personally, I love it, long may it last

Edit: I'm including sunshine/ good weather.

But if you could guarantee a week or two of this every year, you might not go abroad. Such lovely places in this country to see.

I think a bit of good weather brings out the best in people.

Personally I don't like being too hot. I cannot understand how people get enjoyment from frying themselves, or feeling like hot slippery eels in every piece of exposed skin and orifice.

I love being warm, but not too warm.

I kind of think the heat abroad is different to here. The temps may be much higher abroad, but it is a drier heat, whereas here it can be very humid and uncomfortable.

But each to their own.

Well they are saying 60% now. Not really buying it. With low humidity and no clouds it should cool down overnight but it's not really doing that.

I love the sun and heat, but unfortunately , my MS doesn't. If I get too warm, my legs decide to play silly buggers, which isn't good for work and for falls. Now if I were on holidays and near the sea, bring it on.

When we get the heat here like we did today its really enjoyable because its pretty rare enough, just like snow, I love when you get these extremities of unexpected weather. Two/three days of it though and it will be :mad: or

I love it once your prepared + don't have to work. Today was great enjoyed the sun + being with the family + barbecue.

The warm gentle breeze around 7pm was almost sexy. Some power in the afternoon sun, serious radiation.

I live next to a park, and it brings out the "Bag of Cans" Brigade, so while I don't mind it, I do mind when the cnuts start trying to rob me recycling bin at 1am to set on fire to keep themselves warm, Hurley across the snot sorts that out quickly though

We (wife and I ) arrived back from a week in Portugal today where it supposedly touched 40 degrees yesterday and today. Flying into Cork in clear skies was a reel treat and disembarking into relative coolness was gorgeous and also a real treat because it wasn't grey and drizzling. So, yes, this time I love our current weather. Ordinarily I'd probably complain about the humidity.

Probably not the same people on boards, I didn't check.

But the people I know in real life are the same: either it's too miserable or too hot. But it's never right. It's my statistical experience, at least.

If it's any consolation, people in Iceland speak of a heatwave when its 17°C in summer, so I've heard.
It's all about what you are accustomed to.

I like the weather here and I especially like the surprise "extremes"

Today? Laundry is drying fine, the grass was easy to cut, the lazy cat finally buggered off the sofa to go hunting or whatever and the dog is sleepy enough from the "heat" not to be bothered to find out what the cat is up to.

What's not to like?

Personally my perfect temperature is about 24 degrees with a light breeze.

Over 30 and its getting too much, over 30 at night is way too much as well, I like it cool at night and hate a/c.

Ireland and the UK are humid even when it isn't even warm though so it gets quite sticky quickly.

Summer sun / heat is not for me at all. If I'm away on holiday I even prefer to do that out of season. I can't bear feeling uncomfortably hot, and strong sun gives me headache's. It's a given that I'll be in hiding somewhere on hot sunny or humid days.

Was about 43 degrees earlier. It's quarter to 10 now and still well over 30C. Could do with it a bit cooler TBH.

Last week in Dubai we had 48C which felt like 52C, so I can happily say, NO, I don't like the heat especially as during the month of Ramadan its hard to find a cold pint during the day.

I didn't find it humid at all yesterday, it felt like a fresh Mediterranean-style heat. The Met Office will have the most accurate readings, not sure why you wouldn't believe them? Definitely not the case that a low humidity, cloud-free night can't be warm.

I was out at brittas bay yesterday.
Waa driving from wexford direction.
you can see ,the whole length of the beach from the hill.
It was bsolutely packed with people. Like a beach u would see in Spain.

When it hits the high 20's I'm not a fan. Can't even shower without the sweat rolling off you and trying to get ready to go anywhere is a nightmare. Right now I'm sitting in a towel on my bed with all the windows open, too hot to get dressed yet.
I like it around 22* with a light breeze now and again. Can't be dealing with sweaty upper lip.

Its the humidity that gets you.

Ireland and the UK are humid even when its cool weather.
