Worst adult tantrum you've witnessed?

Saw a similar question on Reddit but that was mostly American experiences.

Wondering if you've seen some here in Ireland excluding obvious mental illness and situations in general that are stressful e.g airports and flying

Have mentioned it before on other threads.

Have had 2 adults threaten suicide in response to strident but wholly justified criticism from me. One felt he was being persecuted because the Gardai keep catching him for drugs and road traffic offences that he keeps committing. The other when I pointed out that her behaviour and the way she had treated a friend was not good enough.

Work in an accountants and when we sign people up we give them an estimate of their net take home pay

Bear in mind it is an estimate we do. It is not based official facts and figures

So conversation goes
So your earning are x per hour
You prob work 20 day in x month
That x gross
Take off x expenses and our fee and taxes
Use tax credits

And so on

Anyway we gave a women in U.K. An estimate of 350 pound per week basically saying , based on those types of rates and number of days and assuming tax credits/expenses and relief '' your looking at 350 a week' but we need official tax documents from HMRC(U.K. Revenue) and expense receipts and so on
And it's made clear it's only an estimte

So that was grand she signed up filled out a bunch of papers as a employee of an umbrella company

Began the job with the end client ( e.g. : IT firm)

So when it came to pay day we had her official documentation about tax affairs

Applied correct taxes based on hours worked etc

She took home 349.76

She rang up and LOST IT!!!!!!!! I kid you not

Shouting and roaring at the staff saying that the 24p is putting her over undue financial stress and she was led to believe she would get 350 a week and we lied and stole her money and we are not 1 bit professional as we mis lead our clients and steal and mess up their payroll

We tried to explain it was an estimate provided on a call(which is very clearly mentioned on the call) and the follow up excel file she received by email showing our calculations is even called an estimated payslip (name of file) for their records (which was all based on a chat)
and naturally a estimate which is over 99% is fairy excellent in my opinion as there is so many variables to effect the take home

Anyway... she F* cked us out of it!!!!!!

Then rang the recruitment agency and lost the plot with them about us (they referred her to us)

They rang us asking how we messed up her first payroll

We explained the situation and common sense hit them...

Anyway.. long story short ,,

the women quit the job over it( 1 week in)

...24p would ya believe

And I was thinking would she do the same if she was slighty overpaid ( she was bat S* it crazy so you never know)

They came to visit us from India and we went on a little trip. They were then to stay in cork with us for another 2 weeks. Nobody spoke in Scotland and instead of driving back to cork with us from airport they hired a car. Then packed their bags and drove back to Dublin and back to India.

Doesn't see his grandchildren or his son now. Stupid bastard.

Used work in a job which involved long long hours (80+ aweek,few months a year) and the resulting tiredness/frayed tempers

and working with some of the best pisstakers and wind up people ive ever met used result in not too infrequent tantrums....but an hour or so at worst the following day it would be forgot

Working in retail, I witnessed adult temper tantrums of varying degrees on a near daily basis. The longest running tantrum was about 3 hours because we didn't have postage boxes for international postage. The most angry was a man who got a different label on his roll in the deli but it was the correct price. He had an absolute melt down and did the whole "I'm never coming back here again" thing.

A woman told me to fcuk off when I politely told her that the queue was going the other way. She then joined the queue and specifically waited until she could go to the till next to mine and loudly asked for an refund on everything she'd bought from me earlier while ranting about how rude I'd been. Apparently because she had bought stuff already she felt that she didn't need to queue.

I knew a guy who prided himself on being very smart. He had the Brain Training game on the Nintendo DS and was beating everybody's score. He did not take well to me beating him and spent the next few weeks presumably glued to his DS as he was texting me updates every time he increased his personal best.

Sadly for him I was also increasing my score and leaving his far behind.

After a while the texts stopped and I heard from a mutual friend a few weeks later that he had sold his DS and all the games because he was "fed up with it". I'd say it's more likely that the DS went through the wall.

We're not talking kids here, we were both about 30 at the time...

PS, also need to know the story behind chocolate-gate.

in a French fast food restaurant in Roscoff ... in 2004 .. height of the celtic tiger ... waiting for the ferry to Rosslare and the place was jammers. Only one waitress run off her feet. Irish guy sitting there with his family, he really didn't need the extra food, starts arguing with her saying that he said he wanted his burger medium rare. She says that she is very busy. He throws temper tantrum "take it back, I am not eating dat!". Young kids silently look on.

Prepare to be completely underwhelmed.

My 16 year old daughter, myself and the sister in law were in a shop. My 16 year old picks up a Oreo Milka and says...oh I must buy another one of these because your mum took mine into her room last night.

Sil goes in and tells mummy and daddy that my daughter said her mum stole the chocolate bar.

When told that this was not the case that at best the daughter had misunderstood what my daughter had said there was world war 3 and ended up in them going home.

The whole situation should have been sorted in minutes like any normal adults would.

Just to give an indication of how mental these people are... when we flew back to Dublin it arrived at 11.30. They just managed to hire a car and drove to cork, packed their bags and turned straight back to Dublin at what I think was 4 in the morning without even a hotel booked.

Same father in law chucked an absolute huge tantrum at our wedding because the photographer did not take his photograph with myself and husband first before anyone else. It was terrible, nearly ruined the day.

I was managing a crew of technicians once, area beside us had a major bust and needed hands to help cleanup.

I sent a few fellas over to do the mop up so they could do repairs.

One of my technicians blew a fuse, he came to me ranting he was a skilled artisan engineer and not a lackey to mop floors. He said I had no interest in keeping up the appearance of professionalism in maintenance and he wouldn't be demeaned by doing this.

The guy was goood but was in tears for being asked to do this work, I insisted he did it but he said I had mortally wounded our relationship and he'd never forgive me.

He never got over it either. !

Meeting to organise an art event at an anrchist squat in Berlin which got trapped in endless "consensus"discussion when I got a bit frustrated and said that someone needs to have the balls to make a decision.

Some feminist bloke (they do exist) objected to my blantantly sexist use of langauge and when I shrugged and carried on talking he started scremaing the house down. When they finally calmed him down, he unfortunatly overheard me mutter "****ing snowflakes" under my breath.

Three people had to escort him from the room.
