It's just frustrating when people say Conor will get destroyed and in the next breath say if he wins it's a "staged con".

It's like no matter what he does he can't get credit (if he deserves it).

I think anyone suggesting Floyd will lose on purpose and bring his record to 49-1 needs their head examined. He's filed for 6 trademarks for 50-0.

I didn't think that anyone calling it a staged "con" would be implying that it will be staged so that McGregor wins. I'd say that the mean it in the sense that they might have agreed to prance about for a couple of rounds rather than Mayweather knocking him out within the first minute.
Personally I'd think that MW will stop him as soon as he easily can. I don't see him waiting to do so beyond the second. Unless he is absolutely toying with and humiliating him by then. Just ask Victor Ortiz about MW's desire to give the fans a bit of a show

Every fighter goes in there to do that to Mayweather, and he thrives off that.

From my point of view, Cotto, Canelo, Pacquiao, Mosely, Hatton, De La Hoya, Marquez and Gatti couldn't do it (to name a few). These fighters were lethal, and Mayweather beat them all.

So if someone says that McGregor is delusional, I won't say I fully agree, at least with the terminology, but I can see their point.

Will boxing fans really include this as a W to bring Floyd to 50? I mean he is fighting a guy with a 0-0 record, really should not include.

It's a complete mismatch. Floyd wins by KO/TKO inside 2 rounds. Conor will not be able to hit Floyd at all, And Floyd will unload a barrage of punches on a defenseless McGregor. Left hooks, Straight rights, Right hooks to the body. Anyone who thinks McGregor has a chance doesn't know anything about boxing and doesn't realise how great Floyd is.

There'll be that feeling when the opening bell sounds like during the Pac fight. Then...posing for round one...a few serious attempts by Mc in round two. A smirking MW will land some snapping jabs and a right. Mc will back off. Not necessarily from the power but the accuracy. McG will try upping the pace by round three as will MW in response. By round 4 Mc is gassing and MW goes to work. I can see it being stopped by the corner more than anything else. As in, 'you're not getting close and you're getting hit too cleanly''.

I don't have a problem with the whole thing but for the fact that MW has hurt this weekends fight (which RocNation has not promoted) and it may take away from Canelo v GGG in Sept. A real fight. Easy money for the two bastards.

If it goes down like that, McG isn't gassing in round 4. The gassing accusation stems from the Diaz fight where he spent 7/8 mins throwing tiring kicks etc and taking some hits from a much bigger man.

But that's beside the point. Mayweather has beaten fighters who had a much better 'puncher's chance'. He wins anyway.

I wonder is Jason Quigley betting his house on Conor? Seems to think it's a straightforward KO win for Conor...Strange view when you weigh it up...
