Mayo has suffered a lot from travellers, and it is getting worse.. Many travellers still persist in having large families - I know one family where there were seventeen kids, fourteen of whom lived to adulthood. They rely on the taxpayer to house, feed, and educate these. They encourage their kids to marry at ages 16/17 rather than completing education or seeking work, thus perpetuating the cycle of large families. Few even look for work; easier to claim "disability". They operate a wide range of scams, calling where they are neither wanted nor welcome. E.g. Frog Ward hassling Pat Nally. They row publicly, more so at funerals, weddings, and other religious events. If you live in Mayo you will be aware of pitched battles in various Mayo towns. In summer when they are joined by their UK cousins they invade in numbers resorts such as Achill, Murrisk-Croagh Patrick. They practically take over Knock each August. Pubs have to close and other businesses suffer. Despite being on just social welfare, many drive very expensive rolling stock. They have little respect for the rest of the population. They just regard them as targets to be fleeced, resorting to various forms of criminality. Most FG councillors are aware of all this. I wonder have they briefed Enda? They will use this ethnicity claim to screw more money from the tax payer in numerous ways, and to avoid compliance with the law where it does not suit them Amongst the asks will probably be 1. Special schools and course for Cant/Shelta ( altho it is not really a language ) 2. Transient halting sites near all tourist resorts and places of pilgrimage 3. Places for grazing horses and sulky racing 4 A range of Boards and Quangos, all with paid officials 5. Traveller quotas for all sorts of jobs, starting with the public service, elections to local authorities etc 6. Special soft housing loans etc etc until the tax payer's back breaks

To be honest I would be more likely to vote for her after that. That was her being real and not giving a damn. Still, she has more question marks than success from her time in power behind her for me to consider her. With regard to the image of a statesperson, give me results and positive change every time over a respectful attire.
