What did you want to be when you were growing up?
MilesMorales1
When you were growing up, what job did you want to be? Dream job sort of thing.
I wanted to be a steam train driver like in thomas the tank engine. Then my dad said that wasn't a realistic career and I could join the army and be a soldier like him. Then that didn't happen, and since I grew up I've no idea what I'd like to do for a long term career.
How about you?

I wanted to be a Garda but was lured onto building sites with the promise of more money .Still would love to join the gardai but too old and fat now plus god only knows how they live on their wages .Definitely the most underpaid public jobs - when county council office jobs pay more money than someone who is risking their own safety for others , you have to wonder why anyone would do it ..

A firewoman (as in the fire brigade, not some sort of comic superhero) or a spy. I still do!

Astronaut until I discovered computers then a computer programmer. The thought of being able to spend all day on a computer just amazed me at the time.
So not sure if I'm living the dream or wasting my life.

I wanted to be in the A-Team

I always wanted to be an archaeologist when I was in primary school. At the same age a girl I went to school with also wanted to be one and last I heard she had been out in Greece for years working as one. Pretty impressive to be able to make a living out of a passion.

Farmer. Because, I've absolutely Always been obsessed with trapping things. Thus, even my little preschool mind had it worked out that I should be a farmer. Then, I'd own lots of land and would be able to trap on it
F**kin Easy!
Quite funny, really. I'm now a retired, rural pest controller. Living in an old family farm house. Amidst nothing But farms. For as far as the eye can see, in any direction. And I have full permission to set traps on more land than I'm now fit enough to even walk to.
Oh, and my farmer friends slog their guts out, working dawn till dusk and beyond. I just mooch about, looking for tracks 'n sh!t.
F**king cracked it, didn't I?!
