They have better pings as it is their network, very important if your an online gamer. The only advantage that Digiweb have over Eir is the modem, the F2000 is a pain in the butt for wifi.

Both will be using the openeir network but Eir and Digiweb are different companies offering different packages. You cannot buy anything from openeir as they only wholesale,
Eir have free installation and free BT Sports pack (particularly handy if you have a Sky dish).

If you also have a Sky dish, you can add your Sky viewing card number to receive all those channels for free and in HD from this location https://subscribe.eirsport.ie/eircustomer

Would you think it's likely this is the max the line will take or is this the expected speed for this package? Just be nice to know the option would be there to switch to the 300 package in the future.

steve3194 wrote: » I've done tests both wired and wireless. Wired is usually faster but still tips our around 100Mbps. Just curious as to whether this is standard speed for the package or if it's the quality of the line to our home.
oscarBravo wrote: » There's no 'quality' with FTTH. Do you have a gigabit Ethernet adapter in your PC? If it's just fast Ethernet, 100 is the most it can do.
