Tucson is only 1.7, Kodiaq i was looking at won't be available until July, Cx-3 abit small much prefer Cx-5 but doesn't really gets my heart racing

How about something like the new SEAT Ateca, Skoda Kodiaq, Hyundai Tuscon, Ford Kuga, or even a range topping CX-3? Some sort of mid-sized hot hatch maybe, if you're looking for fun?
