Hey BA! I've been playing Assassin's Creed Syndicate recently and you have the ability to pick locks of doors and chests in the game. What I thought would be pretty cool is if you could do it in real life, it's something I always wanted to learn. Not to use it for malicious reasons but just to know. I was looking around on a couple of different sites and found a cheap kit for beginners to learn. This particular set is on sale at the moment for €8.75. I bought a set and can't wait for it to arrive, I think I'd share it here if people had a similar interest to my own. Hope it helps someone!

Got cheap set years ago. Lets just say in my day job from time to time someone loses keys or locks themselves out. I'm not a locks smith, but one day this fella came into job saying his front door blew shut (likely story ive never heard before).

Got I.D from him and walked over to his house, had him in house within 30 seconds using lock pick set. I was in shock myself at how easy it was. Saved me having to barrel or snap euro cylinder....:)

Just for what it's worth you can get those on amazon too.

They're dearer and all so good spot op and thanks for posting this. I'm only mentioning it for people worried about customs etc. I don't know how much of an issue it could be given how freely available they are here (I've no legal expertise but give amazon's reputability I can't imagine something that was clearly illegal could be so freely available off them)

To save yourself time while lock picking it is best to buy a few different bump keys. You need a specific one for each different type of lock but most front doors(not all though) use the same type. Stick bump key in give it a slight bump and twist and door will open.
