It's miles off a RS.

I actually meant to post this, it says in the ad they spend €9k on that! So I think they took €9k added it to a low priced ST to get to €14k I reckon, they didn't bother to put RS alloys on it and the steering wheel looks like it was stuffed with a pillow or something!

It's going to be for sale for a long time I reckon!

Ok, for once we have an incredibly clean, original and unmolested car. It's in factory condition, and there isn't as much as a blemish on it. In fact it's in incredible condition.

BUT... it's a completely bland, basic, uninteresting, gutless Japanese hatchback, that was never anything more than a boring car when new. It has no collectibility factor. It's a prime example of a notional value being attached to something just because it's old, and not broken in sh1te... I despair at the classic market at times

The Irish one is a bit nicer, but point remains - mk3 golfs are not desirable, ones that cost a fortune to tax while only having 170bhp or whatever those have will never be as popular as a 1.8T mk4

About halfway with vrt included. They didn't even bother fitting the RS interior either. Left the ST wheel even!

Probably bought a ST for 5k and a bit of a kit for a grand and threw it on.
