The Today fm ceo has announced major changes are coming in 17...Any predictions ? My guess cormac and daniella for breakfast, Chris and Ciara for mid morning and Ian Dempsey goes to drive time

Yes there has been made some accusations against a presenter and no you can't discuss them because everything you post about the subject can, and will, be held against boards (and yourself if they decide to sue you) as libel until proven in court basically. Sucks for us but such are the laws of Ireland and unlike major news papers boards do not have an standing army of attorneys to deal with such legal cases. Hence a whole lot of deleted posts and bringing up the subject until further notice will lead to cards and bans.

It depends what the station's remit is. There may be a stipulation that they have to have a certain amount of talk-based content.

I agree - it is starting to stand out amidst all the rubbish. I hope it isn't axed though because it is a show I enjoy. If it moved to Newstalk I'd be OK with that but I can't see that happening .

He wouldn't really add much, except play more Bowie than showbands. As Collins is in his mid 60s, I can see RTE wanting a younger presenter for the sake of it.

He's a lovely guy, but what would he add to / do with that hour?

I'm no fan of Ronan's music... what would Ian play there. If they got rid of Tubs, and put Sean O'Rourke on an hour earlier, I'd love to see John Creedon get his hands on that time slot.

I really don't get the Anton Savage love-in on here. I quite enjoyed him when he did fill-in slots for Darcy etc but it didn't take long after he got the full-time gig that his flippant persona started to wear. His set-up of items and his general 'world-view' whether intentional or not was sub-Seinfeld 'what's the deal with' guff. He was predictable and worse still often betrayed a lack of empathy. D&D might be rubbish in that slot now but it's just another sort of crap - it was crap already.

Should never have gotten rid of Anton Savage. He struggled at the start when he took over from Ray Darcy but he turned out to be a quality presenter and could easily hold an interesting interview unlike others!

Gonna throw a wild one out there and say Tommy Tiernan could be a decent radio presenter.. his chat show on RTE a few weeks ago was truly remarkable. He's so natural, witty, and easy to listen to.

I am no fan of Al Porter, but for balance I would like people to hear Ray D'arcy's first few months on Today FM. He made Al Porter sound like an old pro.
