Let's recap the events of tonight so far - people assumed someone was the attacker, yet he was in prison at the time, but because they didn't wait for credible sources, they just took it as gospel truth, someone else, who shall remain nameless as I can't be arsed typing it out, attested that the IRA aren't terrorists, and a photo of a random woman taken out of context was used as a symbol for the poster's ignorance.

And yet, the people who say to wait are the embarrassing ones.

You know there is a serious argument to be had about Islam modernising. It is however quite impossible to have it properly when scream down that it is evil all the time. I mean here in this thread we have someone saying Catolicism is a pagan religion and someone else saying liberalism is a mental disorder. At what point is anyone expecting a half way sensible debate here anymore.

Yes liberals believe in the modernisation of Islam but it would be a lot easier to seriously have it without people screaming that muslims should be banned and the like (ref: Donald Trump).

This is a worrying time for London right now. People just out doing things they may do at the same time every day and because of the actions of one person if you can call him that lives are changed forever. I'll never understand why things like this happen and never will. I only hope that the survivors will be ok and that the families of the people who were murdered will be able to get on with their lives as best as they can. If it can happen in London could it happen here?

I agree completely but to deny we have a problem is completely dishonest. Again not saying I have the answers but its not going to get better unless something is done. Islam needs an enlightenment and ultimately, like other major religions, to be left in the past where it belongs
